On Thursday my LINC classmates and I went to Black Creek Pioneer Village.
Black Creek Pioneer Village shows what Christmas was like and how it was celebrated 200 years ago. We spent the day with Tinsmith, Printer, Blacksmith and Leatherworker. We really saw how things are made and how they work. Learned the methods used by 19th century craftspeople. Stong family's house shows a plain life to us. The dim candle light, wood burning fireplace and peaceful knitting woman, I think we saw families working and playing together, enjoying the simple thing in life. It was this plain and simple lifestyle of peace.
At Black Creek Pioneer village you can escape the modern world, and experience Ontario's rich rural heritage. You can enjoy the peacefulness and joyfulness.

Remembrance Day at Old City Hall
Yesterday was November 11, it' s a special memorial day. We went Downtown to attended the Remembrance Day ceremony. The Remembrance Day ceremony took place at the Old City Hall Cenotaph in Toronto. Thousands of Toronto residents gathered to remember. Everybody wore red poppies on their clothes to show respects to everyone who died during the First and Second world war.
The ceremony was held at 10:45 a.m. The ceremony procession that participants wearing various of uniforms walked around hall frontage. A sombre silence fell in front of Old City Hall at 11 a.m. Despite the large crowd in the normally bustling Oueen St., nothing except the fluttering of flags could be heard during two minutes of silence. Everything was paused. We paused and bowed our head so we could remember pay thanks sued sacrifice soldiers gave. After that, one person led the crowd in prayers of remembrance for the fallen. We saw five airplanes flew over the blue sky.
Every year, we observe all the soldiers with this way. It' s important for all of us to remember is that they fought to preserve a way of life, they fought to make our world a safer place. We should learn to cherish life, work for peace.

The field trip of small business forum
Yesterday I took part in the 2014 Small Business Forum with my classmates from Microskills LINC 4-5.
The 2014 Small Business Forum was held at Metro Toronto Convention Centre. My friend Mey and I took the subway from Finch station to St. Andrew station. We spend a long time to arrived the Metro Toronto Convention Centre South Building, because we lost our road. In trade show, we met our teacher and our classmates. The Small Business Forum offers entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn, network and connect with the resources they need to help them start and grow their businesses. In there, I saw many people waited long lines to have a one-on-one consultation with specialist. I was interested in the training of daycare. When my English level is high, maybe I can consider doing something. At noon all of students took pictures at there.
After that, we went to a chain of restaurant Jack Astor' s. The meals are very nice. I like it. Everyone was enjoy that!
